A few new things in trakk'em, most of them about working on a track until it's done.
Track versions
A track can now hold every version you make: the rough mix, the mix with the new vocal, the master. Each version keeps its own waveform, analysis and plays, and the links you already sent keep working. Listeners hear the main version, which is the latest upload unless you pick another one.
How to add one:
- Open a track you've uploaded.
- Drop the new audio file in "Upload a new version", or use "Choose a file".
- Check the label trakk'em proposes (v2, v3, and so on) and upload.
A number in the file name becomes the label, so "song_master_v2.3" is proposed as "master v2.3". If you drop several files that only differ by their number in the Tracks page, trakk'em asks whether to keep them together as one track with its versions.
When a new version is ready, the track page shows a strip with every playlist that contains the track. Pick the playlists, write a short message, and those listeners get an email. Nothing goes out unless you send it.
Versions are available on Pro and Studio. The full guide: trakkem.app/docs/track-versions
A/B for your listeners
When a track has two or more versions, your listeners get A/B buttons under the waveform. One tap switches version at the same point in the track, and playback keeps going.
With Match loudness on, every version plays at the level of the loudest one, so the listener hears the difference in the mix at the same volume. It needs Track analysis on each version first. You can turn the buttons off for a track or for a single playlist in its settings.
And more
- Light themes for your player: Paper, Mist, Drive and Poppy.
- Keyboard shortcuts for listeners: Space plays and pauses, the arrows move 5 seconds, 1 to 4 switch version, C opens a comment on the current moment.

- Files your clients send you play in the playlist page player.
- Live streaming has an optional delay of up to 36 seconds and an optional password on the stream page.
- Track analysis adds phase correlation and low-end correlation.
